Liev Schreiber has some questions for anyone who wants to call his daughter a “nepo baby.”
The actor’s 16-year-old daughter, Kai Schreiber, whom he shares with ex-partner Naomi Watts, recently made her modeling debut with Valentino at Paris Fashion Week.
TMZ interviewed Schreiber shortly after his daughter’s show and asked him about the whole “nepo baby thing,” as in people who assumed Kai only got the opportunity because of her famous parents.

“I don’t really have any thoughts for the haters,” the actor answered in a video shared on Wednesday, before posing a few questions to the camera.
“I’m gonna put it to you like this: What if you were a professional actor, and your child decided they wanted to do something in this world. Did they have a choice? Of what you did?”
“It doesn’t matter, right?” the “Manchurian Candidate” star said. “That’s her life. She does what she wants with her life. And I’m super proud of her. I thought she did an amazing job in the show.”
Kai Schreiber shared photos on Instagram after her runway debut, writing “Omggg my heart is so full.”

Her dad commented “Beyond beyond Kai” on the collection of photos, while Watts added, “Be still my beating heart!! bravo darling ILSM and what a show!!”
Watts herself briefly modeled in Japan, but says she was told she wasn’t tall enough and “didn’t have the fashion look.”
