Leslie Bibb dropped a behind-the-scenes bombshell about “The White Lotus” when she revealed that a surreal-sounding dream sequence featuring her character Kate was cut from the most recent, third season of Mike White’s hit HBO show.
Bibb spilled the news on Wednesday’s episode of “Late Night” when explaining to host Seth Meyers why she hasn’t yet watched any of the show, unlike some of her castmates who reportedly saw the finale together.
“I don’t know. It was the finale. It felt very ... final. And, I don’t know. I just couldn’t bear it,” she said.
“It’s been all a dream and so amazing,” Bibb continued. “But then also, some stuff got cut and […] my ego got involved and I was so mad. I was like, ‘Oh, I want that dream sequence back. Where is my dream sequence?’”
Meyers was intrigued and excited.
“You’re telling us there’s a dream sequence of yours that we didn’t get to see?” he asked Bibb.
“Yes. Oh, my God,” Bibb answered.
Then she went into detail about the unaired scenes she filmed with Carrie Coon and Michelle Monaghan, who in the show played her childhood friends who go on a girls’ vacation together.
“There’s a dream sequence with me and Carrie and Michelle and it’s got ladyboys and pingpongs and we’re all dressed alike and we’re doing all this crazy stuff,” she recalled.
Meyers interrupted to ask: “How much money can I give to get this? Let’s start a GoFundMe. We got to get Mike White.”
