After the fast food chain Wendy’s responded to a post about Katy Perry going into space with “Can we send her back,” Kesha seemingly joined in by posting a photo of herself drinking from a Wendy’s cup.
Kesha’s reps did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but the singer is likely siding with Wendy’s because Perry collaborated with producer Dr. Luke on songs after Kesha accused him in 2014 of drugging and raping her.
Dr. Luke, who denied Kesha’s allegations, countersued her for defamation. The two reached a settlement in 2023.
Perry, meanwhile, has defended working with Dr. Luke on her song “Woman’s World.” During a September episode of “Call Her Daddy,” Perry said the song “comes from me.”
“The truth is, I wrote these songs from my experience of my whole life going through this metamorphosis,” she said. “And he was one of the people to help facilitate all that. One of the writers, one of the producers.”
She continued: “I am speaking from my own experience. When I speak about ‘Woman’s World,’ I speak about feeling so empowered now as a mother, as a woman, giving birth, creating life, creating another set of organs, a brain, a heart — I created a whole ass heart!” she said, referencing giving birth to her daughter in 2020.
Neither reps for Perry nor Wendy’s immediately responded to a request for comment.
Perry’s trip to space on Monday was met with criticism for being self-indulgent and wasteful. Perry, along with five other women, went to space for 11 minutes as part of Blue Origin’s first all-female crew. Actor Olivia Munn called the mission “gluttonous,” while actor Olivia Wilde wrote on Instagram that a “billion dollars bought some good memes.”

After landing back on Earth, Perry told a reporter that she felt “super connected to love.”
“I think this experience has shown me you never know how much love is inside of you — how much love you have to give and how loved you are — until the day of launch,” Perry added.
