Jimmy Kimmel said President Donald Trump’s latest honor might not be much of an honor at all.

That came on Friday, when Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth visited the Oval Office to tell Trump about a new fighter jet, named F-47 for the president. Hegseth said the name “sends a very direct clear message.”

“It does?” Kimmel asked. “You hear that, China? Our planes go up to 47 now. It’s ‘Spinal Tap: The Administration.’”

Kimmel said the plane’s name does send a message ― but maybe not the one Trump is hoping for, as critics have pointed out on social media.

“F-47 sounds more like a vanity plate you get if you wanted everyone to know you don’t like Donald Trump,” he said. “F-47 could be our version of ‘Let’s Go Brandon’.”
