Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday said President Donald Trump’s latest obsession might actually be a subconscious confession.

Trump was seen on the White House lawn earlier in the day searching for just the right spots to place a pair of new flagpoles.

“For real, this is what he’s doing,” Kimmel said in disbelief as he showed footage of Trump looking over the lawn. “He’s got the groundskeeper there and they’re looking for spots to plant flagpoles. Some things you have to do for yourself.”

Kimmel said the two poles will each be 100 feet tall ― then had a revelation about what Trump’s fascination with them might really mean.

“This is the kind of decision you make when you can’t get an erection, right?” he cracked. “Subconsciously, maybe not consciously... you wake up one morning, and you go, ‘flagpoles!’”

Kimmel said the height might be a specific choice as well.

“To make it less tempting to grope them,” he said.
