Jimmy Fallon cracked wise over President Donald Trump’s intention to accept a free Air Force One replacement from Qatar despite ethical concerns and objections from even his own party.
But “The Tonight Show” host flew off in an unexpected direction during his monologue on Monday. (Watch the video below.)
“The White House said the royal family of Qatar is giving President Trump a $400 million luxury jet that he will use as Air Force One and then keep once he leaves office,” the comedian began to boos and oohs. “Everyone’s rightfully focused on the plane, but, to me, the big headline is that he’ll eventually leave office.”
The zinger got big cheers. Trump has persistently floated the possibility of seeking a third term in defiance of the Constitution.
The plane would reportedly go to the future Trump library once his presidency is over ― and that apparently can’t come soon enough for Fallon.
