Jennie Garth has responded to the Oscars’ decision not to feature the late Shannen Doherty in its “In Memoriam” tribute on Sunday.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor was asked about the snub in a video captured by TMZ on Wednesday.

“That’s messed up,” Garth said of the exclusion.

When asked by a cameraman if the academy should apologize, Garth offered up a simple “maybe.”

Though Doherty did not appear on-screen in the In Memoriam section during Sunday night’s show, the Academy did include her in the In Memoriam section on its website.

Doherty died of cancer last year at age 53.

Garth said on her podcast last year that due to her friend’s perseverance and strength, she assumed she would “kick” cancer.

“I don’t know why, but I just thought she would get better,” Garth said at the time. “She’s the strongest woman around, and I just never thought that this would happen.”

Garth said she’ll remember Doherty as “really kind, generous and strong.”

“Sometimes her strength got in her way and didn’t look the way other people wanted it to look, but she didn’t care,” the actor added. “She was strong anyway, because I think she had to be.”
