Jason Kelce declared he’s “officially a fan” of women’s rugby as he chatted with Team USA star player Ilona Maher in the locker room following her squad’s win against Brazil at the Paris Olympics on Sunday.
Maher shared a TikTok clip of her teasing the former Philadelphia Eagles center about his support as he appeared to be wearing a jersey signed by the women’s rugby team.
“Women’s water polo has Flavor Flav as their superfan and you are a girl dad,” said Maher, whose TikTok clips went viral during the Tokyo games in 2021.
“Do you get anything from being our superfan? No. There’s no reward, no money, no benefits, I don’t think I can get you free stuff.”
“You’re a great salesman,” joked Kelce before Maher asked him to speak to the camera person. “I am officially a fan of women’s rugby, Olympics.”
“We got Jason Kelce,” shouted Maher as Kelce smiled while the room erupted in cheers.
Outside of his sweet video with Maher, Team USA women’s rugby star Nicole Heavirland also shared a clip of her facing off against Kelce in an arm wrestling match following her team’s victory over Brazil.
“@jason.kelce holding on to that table a little bit? ????,” wrote the Team USA star of the clip showing Kelce winning the friendly match.
The “New Heights” podcast Instagram account shared the post, as well, alongside a caption that read, “If you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying ????.”
“Thanks for letting him win @nicole406heavirland,” the caption continued.
Kelce also took to X to weigh in on the video, writing, “Grabbing something with your off hand is not against any rules according to the guidelines set forth by the IFAW (International Federation of Arm Wrestling).”
Jason Kelce is in Paris with his wife, Kylie Kelce. They attended a Team USA women’s field hockey and rugby match over the weekend.
The couple, who share three daughters and have been married since 2018, were seen smiling with Heavirland at the Olympics along with several other women’s rugby players, including Kristen Thomas, Kate Zackary, Kasey McCravey and Meya Bizer.
