Jamie Lee Curtis is open about getting plastic surgery ― and her subsequent regret.
The “Halloween” star revealed the comment that made her go under the knife in a vulnerable interview with “60 Minutes” on Sunday.
“[A cinematographer] was like, ‘Yeah, I’m not shooting her today. Her eyes are baggy.’ And I was 25?” Curtis said. The comment happened while shooting the movie “Perfect.”
“For him to say that was very embarrassing,” she said. “So as soon as the movie finished, I ended up having some plastic surgery.”
And unfortunately, the end result didn’t sit well with Curtis.
“That’s just not what you wanna do when you’re 25 or 26. And I regretted it immediately and have kind of sort of regretted it since,” she said.
Especially now that it’s the opposite of her own views on aging.

“Now because I’ve become a really public advocate to say to women, ‘You’re gorgeous and you’re perfect the way you are,’ she said, adding that it “was not a good thing for me to do.”
Curtis has spoken out about current plastic surgery trends and used her own experience to explain why she thinks it’s not worth it.
“I did plastic surgery. I put Botox in my head,” the Oscar winner said in an interview with “Today” in 2022. “Does Botox make the big wrinkle go away? Yes. But then you look like a plastic figurine.”
“I have done it. It did not work,” she said. “And all I see is people now focusing their life on that.”
