Stephen Colbert said the final days of the presidential campaign are taking a toll on Donald Trump as he limps across the finish line amid scrutiny over his mental acuity.
“He is presenting a very strong case that his brain done broke,” Colbert said.
The former president tried to break out a football metaphor.
But Colbert pointed out that Trump “made a little mouth fumble.”
Trump described his campaign being on the “four-yard line, not the five-yard line, slightly better.”
“All we have to do is carry that ball over that... thing,” Trump said:
