Selena Gomez was almost stunned speechless during Sunday’s SAG Awards.
The actor appeared blindsided when her show “Only Murders in the Building” was given the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
When presenters Zooey Deschanel and Max Greenfield opened the envelope and announced the Hulu mystery-comedy had won, Gomez stood up and mouthed an exaggerated “What?”
Her eyes were wide with excitement as she made her way onstage with castmates Michael Cyril Creighton, Molly Shannon and Richard Kind.
“Do I have to talk?” she asked her co-stars. “I can’t talk.”
She still seemed stunned when it was her time to take the mic and told the audience of fellow actors, “Wait, we never win. This is so weird.”
During her acceptance speech, Gomez gave a shoutout to her fellow leads Martin Short and Steve Martin, both of whom were elsewhere that evening.
“Well, Marty and Steve aren’t here because, you know, they don’t really care,” she joked. “But I don’t know what to say. Thank you to Marty and Steve for helping raise me. I genuinely am just so grateful [to] everybody, the writers. Everyone deserves this, and I take it home for all of us.”

The SAG Awards were a big night for the former Disney Channel star, who also competed in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role category for her film “Emilia Pérez.”
While she did not end up earning the honor, she still had something to celebrate: Gomez cheered as her “Emilia Pérez” co-star Zoe Saldaña was announced as the winner.
