NextImg:Fox's Peter Doocy Wonders If Trump 'Spooked' Elon Musk Into Wearing Suit

Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy pushed a bizarre theory on Wednesday over whether Donald Trump was deliberately influencing Elon Musk’s wardrobe choices.

The Tesla mogul typically wears T-shirts in public, often with a suit jacket. However, he wore a suit when Trump spoke before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night ― and that made Doocy curious.

Since Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was criticized for not wearing a tie when he met Trump and Vice President JD Vance on Friday at the White House, Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt if the Zelenskyy encounter might have scared Musk to dress up a little.

Doocy started by pointing out the seemingly double standard.

“We know that some officials here were miffed that Zelenskyy showed up last week without a suit for his meeting in the Oval Office. But Elon Musk never wears a suit,” Doocy noted.

Leavitt noted that the Tesla mogul did wear a suit to the speech, but Doocy continued to press her.

“So what is the dress code?” he asked.

Leavitt pointed out that Musk wore a suit to Trump’s speech to which Doocy asked if the dude behind DOGE was “spooked by Zelenskyy getting kicked out?”

Leavitt denied that theory, saying she was “just pointing out that [Musk] did wear a suit last night.”

Fox News' Peter Doocy: "Elon Musk never wears a suit in [the Oval Office]. So, what is the dress code?"

Karoline Leavitt: "Well, Elon Musk wore a suit last night."

Doocy: "Was he spooked by Zelenskyy getting kicked out?"

Leavitt: "No, I don't think so." pic.twitter.com/6caI9aerhn

Of course, people had thoughts on whether the question about Musk’s White House wardrobe was ... “suitable.”

We’re not taking things seriously enough—this country is a laughingstock of the world for still obsessing over a suit, like Obama’s tan suit. Remember that? We’ve circled back to those days again. pic.twitter.com/ifMDb94lKj

Republicans went from worshipping Zelenskyy as a wartime hero to whining about his wardrobe because Daddy Trump told them to. Now they’re out here tracking Elon Musk’s suit choices like it’s a breaking news story.

This party is beyond parody—siding with Putin, defending…

He's right but they're focusing on the wrong things. Go after Trump for his pro-russian actions. Debating these guys about nonsensical distractions is exactly what they want. State the facts, press them and hold them accountable.
