Fox News commentator Camryn Kinsey had a medical scare Thursday night when she fainted while speaking on live TV.
Kinsey, a former staffer for President Donald Trump, was discussing former President Joe Biden’s appearance on “The View” earlier in the day.
Spoiler alert: She wasn’t impressed, telling “Fox News @ Night” host Jonathan Hunt that Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris “had a failed presidency and campaign.”
As Kinsey was criticizing the Democratic administration’s approach to immigration, her speech slurred slightly and she seemed stuck for a second before she suddenly fell off her chair onto the studio floor.
Hunt was clearly rattled and seemed at a loss for what to do.
“Oh! Oh my goodness,” he said while crew members on set tried to help Kinsey.
For a second, Hunt tried to keep the show going by addressing another panelist before he apparently got a message in his earpiece from a producer.
“Um, so... uh, Lydia... the... ah, president... We’re gonna actually, we’re gonna go to a break right here. We’ll be right back,” Hunt said.
Here’s a clip of the segment.
After the incident, Fox News issued a statement to the media:
“After Fox News @ Night guest Camryn Kinsey fainted during a live on-air appearance last night in our Los Angeles bureau, paramedics were called and she was treated and cleared. We are happy to hear she is now feeling much better and wish her a speedy recovery.”
Kinsey also commented about the incident on social media on Friday afternoon, telling her followers, “Sorry for the scare last night.”
After thanking the “incredible Fox News team and the EMTs who responded with speed and care,” Kinsey said she was doing well despite the “unexpected and frightening moment.”
She added: “I’m taking it slow, staying hydrated, letting my body rest, and thanking the Lord that everything is okay.”
“It may not have been how I planned to end the segment, but I’ll be back on your TV soon. Hopefully long enough to finally finish my point about Kamala!”
Of course, people on both sides of the aisle attempted to use the incident to make political points about the U.S. health care system.
Others criticized Hunt for seeming to focus on the show rather than his colleague.
