A montage was aired on Wednesday on Fox News of President Donald Trump and his top officials flatly, emphatically, categorically, and staunchly denying that there will be any pause to his controversial tariffs.
The twist?
Trump had just paused them.
“We’re not looking at that,” Trump said in the supercut that broadcast on the conservative network’s “Special Report with Bret Baier” as part of a lengthier look at Trump’s reversing course on his signature economic policy that upended markets worldwide and sparked fears of a global recession.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confidently added in the clip, “There is no postponing. They are definitely going to stay in place for days and weeks. That is sort of obvious.”

The anti-Trump Republican Accountability also shared a supercut on a similar theme, captioning it: “Trump did, in fact, back off the tariffs. He lies. He folds. He fails.”
