NextImg:Former Trump Advisers Offer Him Advice He'll Probably Ignore
LOADINGERROR LOADING

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has been struggling to find his footing ever since President Joe Biden bowed out of the presidential race and let Vice President Kamala Harris take the reins.

On Monday, two of Trump’s former advisers attempted to offer him ways to boost his campaign, but anyone who has followed the ex-president since at least 2016 probably knows he won’t follow their advice.

Larry Kudlow, who served as director of the National Economic Council under Trump, hosted former Trump senior counselor Kellyanne Conway on his Fox Business show, and the two tried to figure out ways their fearless leader could regain the momentum that he’s lost since Harris became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

They had ideas that could conceivably work — if Trump were a completely different person capable of following directions.

For instance, Kudlow thought it might be a good idea if Trump didn’t “wander off” or call Harris “stupid and all kinds of names.”

He also suggested Trump “stay on message,” though, as Raw Story noted, he didn’t specify what the message was in the first place.

Conway summed up Trump’s “winning formula” as: “Less insults, more insights.”

Trump isn’t very good at implementing policy or even explaining it, so many people on X, formerly Twitter, were amused that Kudlow and Conway were bent on offering advice that he’s unlikely to follow.

What fuckin message? That is his message. It always has been.

Sooooooo... Don't be Trump?

I can’t believe these guys need to beg an old weird and racist misogynist to stop insulting a woman. ????♂️

This has been non-stop from the right today. Kevin McCarthy said earlier that "Trump needs to stop talking about crowd sizes." They are all losing it! ????

I'm sure it will work this time. He always listens to his advisors.

He really doesn't have the underdog thing going for him because we already know who he is and what he didn't accomplish. That and he's a major asshole.

His message IS insults.

Good luck with that????????????
