NextImg:Fans Pounce On Aaron Rodgers' 'Struggle Face' In Jets' Defeat To 49ers

Aaron Rodgers’ expression after a play went awry Monday night had fans calling out his “struggle face” on social media.

The New York Jets quarterback, playing for the first time since he tore his Achilles tendon in his debut with the team a year ago, was rusty in a 32-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, California. He threw for 167 yards and a touchdown with an interception, the latter prompting his wide-eyed disappointment.

In a postgame press conference, Rodgers addressed his performance, saying that “I can play better” and “I felt overall I was getting the ball out pretty good, but we had some opportunities that I’d like to have back.”

The Jets will take on the Tennessee Titans next on Sunday, Sept. 15.
