Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner thinks former president and current GOP nominee Donald Trump’s latest controversial comments about his myriad legal woes could come back to seriously haunt him.

In a recent interview with Fox News’ Mark Levin, Trump declared: “Whoever heard you get indicted for interfering with a presidential election, where you have every right to do it, you get indicted, and your poll numbers go up.”

Kirschner pondered in a column for MSNBC published Wednesday if Trump’s “every right to do it” claim could be end up being against him at trial.

Trump faces charges for election interference in his alleged efforts to overturn his 2020 loss to President Joe Biden.

“The answer is yes,” Kirschner answered his own question.

“Trump is forever trying his cases in the court of public opinion, where there are no rules of evidence, no rules of procedure and no rules of law,” Kirschner explained. “What he apparently doesn’t realize is that every word out of his mouth is admissible in a criminal trial.”
