Trump, speaking to Fox News’ Sean Hannity, defended the reported imminent gift — which will reportedly be converted into Air Force One and later transferred to Trump’s presidential library ― by claiming the current U.S. presidential aircraft is outdated and unimpressive compared to those of Middle Eastern leaders.
“When you land and you see Saudi Arabia and you see UAE and you see Qatar […] and they have these brand new Boeing 747s, mostly, and you see ours next to it,” Trump said.
“It’s much smaller, it’s much less impressive,” he griped.
Klepper pounced on the unwitting innuendo.
“We still talking about planes?” he asked, before adding: “Oh, we’re on the tarmac next to each other, I know you’re not supposed to, look straight ahead, take a little peek over there, take a little peek over there.”
Then he delivered the punchline” “The cockpit was huge, man.”
