Cynthia Erivo looked simply spellbinding on the red carpet of Sunday’s Academy Awards.

The “Wicked” star and Best Actress nominee stunned in a deep emerald green Louis Vuitton gown which was a nod to her character Elphaba and old Hollywood glamour.

The lush velvet design featured a billowing skirt with gravity defying shoulders and a sharp collar. She piled on the diamonds, matching icy earrings and rings to a sparkly septum piercing.

Continuing the drama, Erivo sported a pair of long embellished claws adorned with a clock and other motifs from her hit musical.

During her red carpet chat with E! News’ Zuri Hall, she called her nails an “ode to Oz.”

The look was also a tribute to one of the film’s greats. On Instagram, Erivo’s stylist Jason Bolden revealed that the gown was an ode to actor Hattie McDaniel, the first Black woman to win the Best Actress trophy.

“Hope this Dress Makes You Proud,” he wrote on his story. “Love Jason and Cynthia.”

Erivo could make awards history herself if she ends up triumphing over category-mates Karla Sofia Gascón, Mikey Madison, Demi Moore and Fernanda Torres.

If the British talent nabs the Best Actress honor, she’ll become the youngest person to reach EGOT status and only the 22nd person to have an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony living on their trophy shelf.
