Donald Trump’s campaign drew mockery for a typo that critics suggested was a Freudian slip about the former president and current Republican nominee.
In an email to supporters, Trump’s team misspelled the Steelers part of the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers name as “Stealers.”
“Working at McDonalds, a town hall, a Stealers game — no one is working harder than President Trump to Make America Great Again!” it wrote.
The mistake also appeared on Trump’s website.
Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) called it an “Authoritarian slip” in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Conservative attorney George Conway labeled it “projection.”
Trump attended the Steelers-New York Jets clash at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday, where some fans gave him a less-than-friendly welcome.
