Conservative CNN commentator S.E. Cupp said she had “no doubt” that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will win the 2024 election against Democratic rival Kamala Harris if he can just stick to talking about the two key issues of the economy and immigration, where he polls ahead.
“But he can’t,” Cupp said on Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “News Central.”
Trump is “talking too much about issues that are to the benefit of Harris, like abortion and women’s reproductive rights,” she explained. “He’s doing that in a way that does not appeal to these moderate voters, certainly doesn’t appeal to the suburban women that he lost.”
“So, he’s getting it wrong, Cupp added. “We’ll see if the issues are big enough to win out and block out the rhetoric.”
Cupp, a critic of Trump, earlier condemned his personal attacks on Harris, who in recent days he’s called a liar and “mentally impaired.”

Swing state voters have indicated they “don’t want this kind of language” or questions about Harris’ race, said Cupp.
They also “don’t want the chaos that defined” most of Trump’s presidency, she added. Trump is playing to his base but not to potential undecideds, she said.
