Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump’s defense of her father-in-law Donald Trump against allegations of racism had radio host Charlamagne tha God openly laughing at her on Monday’s broadcast of “The Breakfast Club.”
Lara Trump dismissed the suggestion that the former president and current GOP nominee — who has a very long history of racist actions and comments — is racist by claiming he’d been “very beneficial to the Black community” during his presidency.
“I’ve never seen this man say a racist thing,” she added.
Charlamagne chuckled.
“Why is that funny, Charlamagne?” asked Lara Trump.
“I’m just laughing,” he replied. “It’s hysterical. But, I mean, people act like there’s no such thing as Google or we don’t have TV, we don’t have radio ….”
Lara Trump’s later claim that the ex-POTUS was “friends with everybody,” including civil rights activist Jesse Jackson, prompted co-host Jess Hilarious to say: “Please don’t do that, ‘He had Black friends.’ That’s not going to work out.”

Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, though, stood firm, claiming it “is a traditional talking point to attack Republicans, to call them racist” and that her father-in-law just “wants every person to be successful.”
