Actors Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz have ended their three-year relationship, almost a year after they got engaged.

Both People and TMZ have confirmed the split, but TMZ reported that the reason for the breakup remains unclear, especially since Kravitz said glowing things about Tatum in August at the premiere of “Blink Twice,” a thriller starring the couple that she’d directed.

“Thank you for trusting me to female-direct you,” she said. “It’s really very cool to get to make a movie, but when you get to do it with the love of your life, it’s even cooler.”

Although the 44-year-old Tatum and 35-year-old Kravitz were seen together at a play in New York City earlier this month, People magazine said Kravitz has been seen more recently in public without her engagement ring.

Tatum and Kravitz started dating in 2021 with the help of Riley Keough, Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, who texted Tatum, saying, “Hey, I have a friend that wants to send you something. Do you know Zoë Kravitz? I’m going to give you her number.’”

The two met after Kravitz sent Tatum a script for “Blink Twice,” under its original title, “Pussy Island,” he later explained.

“I was like, ‘I guess I’m definitely reading this,’” he told reporters.

The new relationship happened while Tatum was divorcing his first wife, Jenna Dewan, and Kravitz was divorcing her first husband, Karl Glusman.

The announcement of the breakup comes the same day as an announcement that both actors will be starring in “Alpha Gang,” an alien invasion comedy starring Cate Blanchett, who is also producing the film.
