President-elect Donald Trump is quickly filling out key roles for his new administration following his defeat of Vice President Kamala Harris in last week’s presidential election.
The week kicked off with a flurry of intended nominations, including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) for secretary of state, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) to lead the Environmental Protection Agency. He’s also selected campaign manager Susie Wiles as his White House chief of staff and immigration hard-liner Stephen Miller as his deputy chief of staff for policy.
Trump is also set to visit the White House for a meeting with President Joe Biden on Wednesday.

President Biden was seen shaking hands with Trump in the White House's Oval Office, where they both pledged a smooth transition between administrations.
“Politics is tough and it’s, in many cases, it’s not a nice world but it is a nice world today,” Trump said.
