The end of days for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s marriage to Maria Shriver was years ago, but that didn’t stop the action movie hero from jabbing at her this week.
While promoting his holiday film “The Man With the Bag” at a Prime Video preview event in New York Monday, the former California governor recalled a 1996 yuletide flick he made.
″‘Jingle All the Way’ was the greatest Christmas movie of all time,” he said, per the San Francisco Chronicle. “They play it the whole month of December. I know because my ex-wife calls me about the residual.”
In her book that came out in April, the former network news host wrote of their breakup, which was precipitated by Schwarzenegger’s admission that he fathered a son with their longtime housekeeper:
“It broke my heart, it broke my spirit, it broke what was left of me ... I was consumed with grief and wracked with confusion, anger, fear, sadness, and anxiety. I was unsure now of who I was, where I belonged. Honestly, it was brutal, and I was terrified,” she wrote.
Shriver filed for divorce in 2011, but the split was finalized in 2021, the New York Post reported.
“We never left the [first] chapter,” the “Terminator” star told People in 2023. “Because remember, it’s not like we had a feud. We didn’t have a fight. It’s just my fuck up right?”
