Two women were shot during a victory parade in Philadelphia for the Super Bowl LIX winners, the Eagles.
The shooting occurred along Ben Franklin Parkway as thousands of Eagles fans came out to celebrate Sunday’s victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, according to police.
One of the women, 27, was shot in her left leg. The other woman, 20, was shot in the upper left thigh, the Philadelphia Police Department told HuffPost in a statement. Both were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.
Police have not found a weapon or made made any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
Brady, a nonprofit organization against gun violence, responded to the latest shooting in a statement.

“The weight of this tragedy bears down not just on Philadelphia, but on every American community that lives with the constant shadow of gun violence,” Brady President Kris Brown said. “Our children practice active shooter drills. Our cities plan celebrations with mass shooting protocols. This is not freedom — it’s fear. And it’s preventable.”
Last year, one person was killed and nearly two dozen others were injured in a shooting during a Super Bowl victory parade in Kansas City, Mo., celebrating the Chiefs’ win. At least nine kids were treated for gunshot wounds.
