YouTuber Wesley Winter has criticised leftists who confronted him at Epping protests that broke out last week.
Speaking on GB News, Winter, who operates a burgeoning YouTube channel with almost 200,0000 subscribers, said one individual in a Stand Up to Racism hi-vis vest was particularly aggressive.
But he was determined to continue filming and document his perspective as tensions erupted in the Essex town over a hotel housing asylum seekers.
Winter told the People’s Channel: “I wanted to see first hand whether these people were being brought in by bus, police van or actually by tube.

“They were all gathered by the station where they had speeches of all sorts.”
Winter suggested certain security guards had been paid to be there and ensure left-wing protesters were kept out of trouble.
His presence irked certain protesters who confronted him in what he describes as an attempt to shut down free speech.
“I went just to film a couple of signs and a man came over saying ‘I know this guy’. He wasn’t happy with my presence”, he said.

Patrick said footage of the incident suggested the man was “intense” and the police told him to “do one”.
“It was clear as day who the agitator was”, said Winter.
“I wasn’t retaliating and the police were there to do their job, and on the day they did.
“The Stand Up to Racism camp left quite early and you have to ask why? Was it because they weren’t getting the reaction they wanted?”

Thousands of anti-migrant protesters and pro-immigration protesters have descended on the town in recent days with multiple arrests.
Protests began at the hotel on 13 July after a man living there was arrested and charged with sexual assault, harassment and inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity.
Hadush Kebatu, 41, from Ethiopia, has denied all charges and is in custody.
Police have worked to keep the warring factions apart with verbal confrontations happening.
