Nigel Farage has suggested "it may be time" for a prison sentence for illegal migrants who cross The Channel.

Speaking on GB News this evening, Nigel said that "we have the means" to do this, something that he saw in action in court this week.

He said: "He got an eight month sentence to be served concurrently for illegally entering the country.

"Which made me think, should all people who come illegally go to prison for a few months? And if they did, wouldn't that stop the boats from coming?

"Because clearly the legislation's in place that at does allow us to do this if simply we have the will."
