Victoria Beckham has shared a heartfelt tribute to her husband David Beckham as he celebrates his 50th birthday today.

The fashion designer took to Instagram to mark the milestone occasion on Friday, May 2, with touching posts describing the former footballer as her "everything" and "soul mate".

The couple, who married in 1999, recently appeared together in their Netflix documentary Beckham, which featured intimate glimpses into their relationship.

Victoria, 51, posted emotional messages alongside personal videos to commemorate her husband's special day.

In one Instagram post shared on Friday, Victoria compiled footage of their private family moments, including David playing sports with their children, attending concerts, holidaying together, and even feeding chickens.

"When I look at this video, I think, 'Wow… how lucky am I!!' You're everything I could [have] dreamed of and more," she wrote.

A day earlier, she posted a video of the couple dancing and singing to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers' Islands In The Stream.

She captioned it: "My best friend, soul mate and dance partner for life."

The Beckhams first met in the Manchester United players' lounge in 1997 and announced their engagement the following year.

They welcomed their eldest son, Brooklyn, in March 1999, before tying the knot in July of the same year.

The couple now have four children together - sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, as well as daughter Harper, 13.

David and Victoria have built a powerful brand together over their 26-year marriage, becoming one of the world's most recognisable couples.

The birthday celebrations come amid speculation of a family rift, as eldest son Brooklyn has yet to publicly wish his father happy birthday on social media.

Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz reportedly missed David's pre-birthday bash in Miami, despite living in Los Angeles.

Last month, Brooklyn also failed to post online for Victoria's birthday and did not attend her yacht celebrations.

The apparent distance follows what some sources describe as the family not acknowledging Brooklyn and Nicola's third wedding anniversary on social media.

David Beckham's illustrious football career included scoring in three different World Cups and earning 115 England caps, the third most for the men's team.

He was part of Manchester United's historic treble-winning campaign in 1998-99, when the club claimed the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League.

After playing for Real Madrid and LA Galaxy, Beckham now co-owns Inter Miami in the US.

Beyond football, he serves as a Unicef goodwill ambassador and runs a production company that created the Disney+ documentary Save Our Squad with David Beckham.

Birthday wishes have poured in from other family members, with sons Romeo and Cruz sharing loving tributes on social media.

Romeo called his father "the most amazing role model" and wrote that he loved him "so so much". Cruz posted a photo of the sportsman smiling with the message "I love you so much dad".

David's best man, Gary Neville, also shared a heartfelt message, saying Beckham should "stand still today for once and reflect on everything you have achieved".

"We've won, lost, laughed and cried but had the most incredible times together," Neville added.
