Commuters out of London Euston are facing severe delays amid adverse weather conditions caused by Storm Henk.

Trains between London Euston and Watford Junction are being cancelled, with delays expected further along the line towards Birmingham New Street.

A spokesperson from National Rail said: "Damage to the overhead electric wires and an obstruction on the track between London Euston and Watford Junction means that some lines are blocked.

"Trains at this station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day."

Commuters who were travelling on Avanti West Coast services can use their tickets on Chiltern Railways services between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street.

Alternatively, Avanti ticketholders can use tickets on East Midlands Railway services between London St Pancras International and Leicester or on any CrossCountry services "via any reasonable route".

However, they have confirmed tickets are not being accepted on London Northwestern Railway Services.

London Overground tickets are being accepted on local bus routes.

Meanwhile, flooding between Crewe and Stafford is causing delays and cancellations on London Northwestern services.

A spokesperson from London Northwestern services said: "Flooding and strong winds are expected to affect journeys across our network this afternoon and this evening.

"Passengers are advised to check their journeys. Ticket acceptance is in place on certain routes. Due to weather conditions also affecting roads, road transport may also be impacted."

Flooding between Birmingham International and Northampton is also causing delays in the Midlands, with trains delays between Birmingham and Coventry.
