NextImg:Travis Kelce makes anger clear as Kansas City Chiefs star appears to leak big NFL news

Travis Kelce has seemingly confirmed that the Kansas City Chiefs are starting the season in Brazil against the LA Chargers, something he is not very happy about.

Kelce let the news slip on the latest New Heights episode, which was recorded on Monday. He started by discussing the rumour before realising the show wouldn’t come out until Wednesday, when the full schedule was announced.

The Chiefs will also be playing in Dallas for Thanksgiving against the Cowboys.

"This isn't out until Wednesday? Yeah, we're definitely playing in Brazil,' Kelce said. "I'll be there, not to do a podcast. I'll be playing football in the f*****g heat."

Kelce seems to have jumped the gun with his announcement as the official announcement isn't until 8pm Eastern Time in the US.

The older Kelce brother, Jason, played for the Philadelphia Eagles in last season’s Brazil game against the Green Bay Packers, and had less than glowing reviews of the venue.

“The field is atrocious”, he told his younger brother.

"There's just something about getting close to the equator, I don't want to put on football uniform. I've been in Jacksonville in September, that's f*****g miserable," added Travis.

"Sao Paulo, is that by the water? I'd rather it be dry than humid, I'm a sweaty guy. If it is humid, I am going to be miserable. But I am going to find a way to get a win."

Jason replied: 'Well, prepare to be miserable. You're surrounded by the Amazon rainforest."

Travis continued: "I am going to be sweating so bad.

"I am going to have to ask the equipment guys for a couple jerseys, maybe three pairs of pants. Maybe four cleats, I might just go through a pair."

Jason interjected: "Socks, you've got to think about that. Shoes, soggy shoes."

Super Bowl

The Chiefs last took to the field for the Super Bowl in Feburary

PA

The NFL announced the schedule for the overseas games this season, including who would be facing the Chargers in Brazil.

The 35-year-old record breaking tight end nearly retired in February after the Chiefs' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

He eventually announced he would be returning for one more season, partly because he didn’t want to end his historic career on a low note.

The Chiefs will try to make it three Super Bowls in four seasons when they face the Chargers in Brazil on September 5.
