



A transgender volunteer Metropolitan Police officer has been found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting a child.
Gwyn Samuels was found guilty at Amersham Law Courts.
The 27-year-old was born as a man named James Bubb.
Bubb, of High Street, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, is currently suspended from the force.

The court heard how Bubb forced victim to perform a public sex act, which was cut short after a dog walker saw them and told her that she "enjoyed being raped."
Jurors heard that Bubb posed as a 16-year-old on chat website Omegle, where the accused allegedly groomed two girls, one aged just 12.
Prosecutor Richard Milne told the court the defendant and the victims would be referred to by their biological sex throughout the trial when discussing the allegations.
Bubb starting training with the Met in 2020, changing his name in December 2024. "That's when I started fully living in my current identity," the former police volunteer told the court.
