Donald Trump's second-in-command, JD Vance, chose an exclusive British farmshop for a family outing during his trip to the Cotswolds.

JD Vance arrived at Daylesford Farm to enjoy a meal with his wife, Usha, and their three young children.

The US Vice President's family, including eight-year-old Ewan, five-year-old Vivek, and three-year-old Mirabel, dined in a secluded room at the establishment dubbed 'the UK's poshest farmshop'.

The vice-presidential visit generated particular enthusiasm among employees, who found the high-profile guests a welcome change from routine operations at the organic farm shop and restaurant complex.

"They came and had lunch as a family," a member of staff revealed. "It's been exciting. Nice to have something different."

The farmshop's description reads: "Set amidst our working organic farm, you can't get much closer to the source than in our farmshop, stocked with fruit and vegetables harvested daily from our market garden, pasture-raised meat from our own farms, artisan bread from our bakery, and award-winning cheese from our creamery, all just steps away."

Customers can purchase simple snacks from the delicatessen, along with organic and biodynamic wines.

The shop stocks ready-to-heat home meals and operates a zero-waste pantry where shoppers can bring their own containers to fill up on store cupboard staples. Fresh salads, toasted sandwiches and sausage rolls are prepared daily.

Beyond its renowned farmshop, the upmarket establishment spans multiple offerings.

Visitors can browse homeware collections showcasing hand-crafted ceramics, mouth-blown glassware, and soft-toned linens.

For those who wish to experience fine dining, US politician-style, the venue houses The Trough, which holds a Green Michelin Star and serves ingredients harvested mere steps from the dining room.

Additional culinary experiences include The Old Spot, offering wood-fired pizzas and seasonal sharing dishes with terrace seating, and The Legbar, an all-day venue serving everything from morning coffee to evening cocktails.

The site also features a cookery school, a wine stall, a garden centre with antiques, and accommodation options for overnight stays.

The philosophy behind Daylesford emphasises harmony with nature, with organic farming methods that regenerate soil and capture carbon from the atmosphere. "Organic is better for the planet," the venue states in its mission.

Beyond dining, visitors can explore the Bamford Wellness Spa, attend workshops at the cookery school, or browse the wine stall and antiques collection.

For those keen to immerse themselves in the magic of the farm, Daylesford Stays has been "consciously curated to offer low-impact indulgence in the heart of the British countryside".

"Each property has been thoughtfully designed to convey a sense of its character and individuality while retaining a feeling of warmth and welcome," the website states.

The Cotswolds destination enjoys devoted followers on social media, with its Instagram account attracting a whopping 343,000 followers.

Regular visitors praise the venue enthusiastically online, with one calling it "perfection" and their "favourite place to visit".

Another follower wrote: "@daylesfordfarm is always at the top of my list of places to visit when I'm in the Cotswolds. You never disappoint." Others simply described the location as "beautiful" and "dreamy".

Bringing a slice of the farm to the capital, the brand operates several shops and cafés across London.

For a taste of Daylesford Organic, Britons can also snap up a myriad of award-winning offerings spanning food, alcohol, and home decor.

For more quintessentially British experiences, one UK fish and chip shop has celebrated more than 100 years of great food in an "idyllic" location.
