The furniture piece that caused shopping chaos at Tesco last summer has made its comeback to stores across the UK.

The F&F Home ottoman stool, which sold out within days in August 2024, returned to shelves earlier this week.

The multipurpose furniture item gained massive popularity through TikTok, where videos featuring the product attracted millions of viewers.

As a result, its swift disappearance from stores last year left many customers disappointed.

Now available in two colours – the original cream and newly introduced brown – the piece costs £35 at Tesco stores.

The returning ottoman will likely be a hit with shoppers, already generating major interest on social media.

Fresh footage from TikTok creator @niomibradley has accumulated 6.5 million views and nearly 400,000 likes within days of the restock, receiving hundreds of comments from eager shoppers after she encouraged them to "run" to Tesco.

"The way my jaw dropped," wrote one viewer, while another declared: "If this isn't at my local Tesco tomorrow, I'm going to have a fit."

Other responses included, "What the flip, I want it", and "Not a want but a need".

The ottoman serves three distinct purposes: functioning as a storage unit, a footrest, or a backed seat.

Users can transform it by removing and repositioning the lid to create different configurations.

According to Swyft Home, ottomans represent "versatile and flexible" furniture solutions for various household needs.

Their typical design features padding, upholstery, and often internal storage compartments.

Industry experts anticipate a surge in sales as consumers prepare for the autumn and winter seasons.

Meanwhile, rival supermarket Asda has unveiled its own seasonal homeware range through George Home, introducing over 655 new items across four distinct design themes.

Products begin at £1.50 and span various categories, including soft furnishings, bedding, tableware, and decorative items.

The themes – French Fancy, Autumn Revival, Autumn Cosy and Serene – each offer different aesthetic approaches for seasonal home decoration.

Senior Design Manager at George Home, Katy Traill, stated: "The Autumn/Winter 2025 season presents an opportunity to refresh your home for the colder months with a full-room makeover or by adding new trend-led pieces."

The complete collection can be purchased online and at selected Asda stores.
