GB News presenter Sophie Reaper has shared her emotional relief after receiving the all-clear following cervical cancer testing, using her personal health journey to advocate for the importance of screening.
The 27-year-old broadcaster chose to make her private medical experience public to encourage other young women to attend their smear tests.
Speaking about her experience, Reaper revealed this was only her second-ever smear test when an issue was detected.
"This was my second ever smear test, and they found something," she shared during a GB News broadcast, highlighting how early screening proved crucial in her case.
Making an emotional appeal to viewers, Reaper urged: "Ladies out there, no matter what age you are, the second they invite you for your smear test, it is so, so important that you go because you just never know."
"I know it's a bit awkward, I know it's a bit uncomfortable, but it's so, so important that you do that," she emphasised.
