"Serious disorder" has broken out in Salford this afternoon after a group of "up to 60 masked youths" descended on a road in the city.
One person has been arrested and a police car has been damaged - while Greater Manchester Police has slapped the area with a dispersal order.
A witness told the Manchester Evening News that between 50-60 teenagers and young people are "hanging round" near Lower Broughton Road.
Bricks and stones have been left strewn across the road in "pretty intense" scenes, they said.
"There is a Fiat 500 which has been completely smashed in. It's windows have been stoved in.
"The police are here, but they're circling around at the moment. At a rough guess I'd say there are about 50-60 people hanging about, but a lot of residents are also coming out."
Further footage from the "disorder" this afternoon shows people circling the area on dirt bikes and crowds of riot police in place.
And as well as the Fiat 500, one video clip appears to show another car engulfed in a blaze on a grass verge.
A Greater Manchester Police statement reads: "Officers are currently dealing with serious disorder on Lower Broughton Road in Salford and there is a dispersal order in place.
"Behaviour of this nature will not be tolerated and we will respond accordingly."
The force later added: "We have made an arrest on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and one of our vehicles has been damaged."
