NextImg:Revolutionary Communist Party coordinator signs up to Corbyn’s party calling for ‘militant programme’

The Revolutionary Communist Party's national coordinator has declared her support for Jeremy Corbyn's newly established political movement, predicting it will siphon voters from Reform UK.

Fiona Lali revealed during a GB News appearance that she has become a member of the former Labour leader's venture, describing it as a "historic moment" that addresses a significant political void.

The party promises to champion working-class concerns through what Lali characterised as a "genuinely militant socialist programme".

Lali outlined the movement's core objectives during her television appearance, highlighting commitments to terminate austerity measures, advocate for Palestinian rights, and pursue comprehensive nationalisation policies.

She argued that young people would be particularly drawn to these positions, which she claimed represent genuine solutions that citizens actively desire.

"There's been a huge vacuum in politics for a while, and to a certain degree, Reform was tapping into that anger," she explained.

The Revolutionary Communist coordinator suggested that Corbyn's party could redirect voter dissatisfaction currently benefiting Reform UK by concentrating on working-class priorities and unifying political messages.

She predicted the new movement would eventually draw support away from Nigel Farage's party through its focus on issues that could bridge political divisions.

Lali advocated for fundamental economic transformation, proposing to replace the profit-driven capitalist framework with a system prioritising human needs.

"We need to completely overhaul the capitalist system which is based on profit. The way the economy is run is on the basis of profit and not need," she said.

Her vision includes establishing an economy where workers exercise direct control over their circumstances and participate in decision-making processes.

She specifically endorsed seizing assets without compensating owners, citing public opinion surveys showing majority backing for nationalisation policies.

"Nationalising without compensation, in a serious way. If you look at a lot of polling, the majority of people support nationalisation," Lali stated.

She highlighted London's status as the world's sixth wealthiest city, arguing sufficient resources exist for redistribution through appropriation and public ownership.

The former Labour leader unveiled his political project earlier today alongside Zarah Sultana, who recently departed the Labour Party to sit as an independent MP.

Their joint announcement introduced "Your Party", positioning it as a grassroots movement that "belongs to us all" rather than traditional political elites.

"It's time for a new kind of political party - one that belongs to you," Corbyn and Sultana declared in their statement.

The founders characterised Britain's existing political framework as "rigged" and extended invitations for supporters to participate in an inaugural conference.

They emphasised the participatory nature of their venture, encouraging members to contribute to the founding process and shape the party's direction from its inception.
