Protesters are gathering at RAF Scampton today to protest against the Home Office's plans to use the former Royal Air Force station to house asylum seekers.
The demonstration comes of the one year anniversary of the announcement that the base - which used to be home to the iconic Dambusters 617 squadron - would be used to house as many as 2,000 asylum claimants.
The Save Our Scampton Campaign is hoping to use the anniversary to put pressure on the Government to abandon its plans.
Locals are concerns about their own personal security and also the appropriateness of the iconic site being used.
Those demonstrating against the Government's plans are set to begin gathering at the former RAF base at 10am this morning.
They intend to make their voice heard on protecting the heritage site.
GB News' Anna Riley will be reporting live from the scene throughout today.
