Qatar Airways will run 10 flights daily to London Heathrow during the upcoming winter schedule, marking a huge increase in its presence in the UK.

The Doha-based airline has revealed plans to boost services across more than 15 international routes for the winter period, with Manchester also benefiting.

The Heathrow airport expansion will be the most flights to London in its history. This enhanced schedule will be supplemented by British Airways' twice-daily service on the same route.

The new timetable has been brought in to cater to growing demand for trips in winter as Britons escape the colder UK temperatures.

More flights will run from London Heathrow and Manchester

Manchester will see its service jump from 21 to 24 flights weekly. The airline's winter schedule features substantial increases across multiple continents, with Cape Town rising from 10 to 12 weekly services and Dublin expanding from 14 to 17 flights per week.

São Paulo will benefit from four additional weekly flights, bringing the total to 18. Other notable expansions include Frankfurt and Berlin, both increasing to 21 weekly services, whilst Johannesburg grows to 18 flights per week.

The carrier has also boosted frequencies to destinations including Abu Dhabi, Madrid, Toronto and Tokyo Narita, demonstrating its commitment to strengthening global connectivity through its Doha hub.

Qatar Airways chief commercial officer, Mr Thierry Antinori, said: “Qatar Airways is consistently witnessing a steady rise in demand for our 5-star services to some of the most prominent destinations in the world, most notably for London, Dublin, Cape Town, and São Paulo.

"This winter, in partnership with Qatar Airways, Virgin Australia will launch flights from Melbourne to Doha, increasing capacity to three daily flights between the two cities.

"Qatar Airways will also restart services to Canberra, reinforcing its commitment to enhance connectivity between Australia and the world.

“The latest increase in flight frequency is testament to our continual and unmatched enhancements of experiences for our passengers travelling through the Best Airport in the Middle East - our hub, Hamad International Airport.”
