A prolific shoplifter has been jailed and banned from every Boots store after stealing more than £100,000 in products.
Liam Hutchinson committed a total of 99 shoplifting offences between May and August 2025 before being caught by the Metropolitan Police.
CCTV footage shows Hutchinson grabbing multiple items, including several electrical gadgets and razors and placing them in a bag or in his jacket.
On one occasion, a shop worker can be seen attempting to stop him before he dashes off.
Hutchinson has been jailed for 12 months and handed a Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from every Boots store across the UK for 10 years.
He has also been banned from entering the borough of Chelsea and Kensington for the next five years.
Sergeant Jack Vine, from the Met's Volume Crime Team in central London, said: "Hutchinson has been targeting Boots stores across Chelsea and Kensington, costing the business a total of £107,000 in lost revenue.
"We recognised the impact Hutchinson's actions were having on the retailer, and through working with staff, we built a strong case of evidence against him, which has been reflected in his sentencing."

Mr Vine, who led the Government's investigation, continued: "This result should act as a warning that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated, and that we will come down hard on those who show a complete disregard for the law, terrorise retail workers and cost businesses thousands of pounds."
Nicky Harrop, Head of Security, Fraud and Contract Management at Boots, said: "We have been investing significantly in measures that will deter and disrupt criminal activity, stop theft, protect our team members, and support the police with high-quality evidence.
"Tackling the growing levels of retail crime is a collaborative effort, so we're pleased to work alongside the Metropolitan Police to ensure our stores remain a safe and respectful environment for our team members and customers."
Shoplifting in London has continued to rise in recent years, with offences up 54 per cent compared to 2023.
Almost 90,000 shoplifting offences were recorded in the capital in 2024, up from roughly 58,000 the previous year, according to latest data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Shoplifting offences across the rest of England, outside of London, were up by 15 per cent last year.
Sir Sadiq Khan's office said the mayor is "determined to do all he can to tackle crime and its complex causes".
Mr Khan previously blamed the increase in shoplifting on the fact the city has "a lot of shops" compared to other areas of the country.

According to the ONS, theft from a person has also increased in London in 2024 by 41 per cent.
In the rest of England, outside the capital, theft has decreased by 14 per cent. In Greater Manchester, it is down by 28 per cent.
A spokesman for Sir Sadiq said: "Sadiq is determined to do all he can to tackle crime and its complex causes and build on progress that has been achieved in London, with the number of young people being injured with a knife, homicides, gun crime with lethal barrel discharges and burglary all down since 2016.
"ONS figures show that Londoners are less likely to be a victim of violence resulting in injury than across the rest of England and Wales.
"But there is clearly still more work to do to tackle knife crime, shoplifting and theft."
