The Royal Family has been encouraged to "rely on" non-working members of the monarchy such as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as the King and Princess Kate remain absent from key royal duties.

The Princess Royal is also not expected to return to duties for the "foreseeable future" after suffering a horse-related accident on her estate, and spent almost a week at a hospital in Bristol.
