Post Office scandal victim, Vijay Parekh, says more needs to be done for those who were victimised.

He spoke after Rishi Sunak vowed to exonerate those who have been dealt with criminal convictions as a result of the affair.

But according to Parekh, Sunak has not gone far enough and perpetrators should be made to "feel how they felt".

“It’s just taking too long for people to get compensation”, he said.

“After you put the application in, it’s going to take longer because it doesn’t finish until August, this Horizon inquiry.

“After that, they start tallying up which is going to cause even more delays after August.

“All the people involved in this should get the same treatment.

“We have had all of these convicted postmasters and we should let them know how we felt.

“We’ve done nothing and we’ve been imprisoned. They have done something, so they need to be imprisoned for what they have done.”
