Police have confirmed a body has been found at a recycling centre in Scotland.

Emergency services attended the scene in the Queenslie centre in the east end of Glasgow.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.40am on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 we were made aware that the body of a man had been discovered at a recycling centre on Easter Queenslie Road, Glasgow."

The Daily Record reports a number of police vehicles and officers were pictured at the scene, including some in forensic suits.

A spokesperson from Glasgow City Council said: " Due to an ongoing Police incident Queenslie Recycling Centre is currently closed to all vehicles and residents. Please our other Recycling Centres at this time."
