Supporters of Donald Trump have been pictured waiting for the US President to touch down in Scotland. 

The crowds gathered outside Prestwick Airport ahead of Air Force One's arrival. 

The US president is expected to visit his golf resorts at Turnberry on the Ayrshire coast and Menie in Aberdeenshire as well as meeting the UK Prime Minister and the Scottish First Minister. He will subsequently travel to Aberdeenshire to inaugurate a new coastal links course, whilst also holding meetings with British media executives during his stay.

Trump is due to return to the UK for an official state visit in September.
