Patrick Christys returned to a migrant camp in Calais, hoping to speak with those preparing to cross the Channel.

Unlike his last visit, hostility met him at every turn, with phones raised and conversations shut down.

Tensions rose as he was shouted at and told to leave. “Very different vibe this time, they want you gone,” he said.

Christys tried repeatedly to ask how they planned to reach Britain, but was met with silence or flat refusals.

Some migrants filmed him, while others grew visibly agitated.

“We just want a conversation,” he insisted.
