A passenger has been forcibly removed from an EasyJet flight by Turkish police after allegedly displaying disruptive behaviour on board.

The incident occurred on a flight from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Dalaman on Monday afternoon (April 21).

Authorities in Turkey boarded the aircraft on the tarmac following its arrival.

The airline confirmed that law enforcement met the plane due to the passenger's disorderly conduct during the flight.

Staff reportedly responded swiftly to the situation to maintain safety.

Passengers were kept on board for approximately 30 minutes after landing while police handled the situation.

During this time, several officers took statements from fellow travellers who had witnessed the disruptive behaviour.

A family from Manchester, who had travelled from Liverpool Airport, reported the delay and police presence.

"The police were waiting for him at Dalaman," they recounted.

An EasyJet spokesman stated: "Flight EZY3409 from Liverpool to Dalaman yesterday was met by police upon arrival in Turkey due to a passenger behaving disruptively onboard."

The spokesman emphasised the airline's response protocols in such situations, adding: "EasyJet's cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and acted quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers was not compromised at any time.

However, passengers also described being kept on the plane for "about half an hour after landing" while police dealt with the situation.
