NextImg:Novak Djokovic opens up on 'unhealthy' relationship after reaching Australian Open fourth round

Novak Djokovic has admitted his relationship with his team can sometimes be 'unhealthy'.

The world No 1 has progressed through to the fourth round of the Australian Open with a straight-sets win over Tomas Martin Etcheverry.

Asked about 'healthy tensions' with his team, Djokovic said: "Whatever I say will be used against me.

"I'm not so sure if it's a healthy tension, I guess they will probably tell you differently.

"At times it's healthy, at times it's unhealthy, but they are the people who are with me 24/7 obviously.

"We go through some good times, some bad times but it's all part of the journey.

"It's all part of the challenges and obstacles that we have to overcome every day.

"I'm my myself on the court but off the court, it's a team effort and coaching is allowed obviously, from last year, so it's good to have a chit chat when I'm close to them.

"But many times you don't even want to understand what we tell each other. But it's all fun when we're winning."

On the match, Djokovic said: "It was a great match. The best performance I had during this tournament.

"I was pleased with how I played throughout the entire match, particularly the first two sets.

"He stepped it up, I think he raised his tennis probably one or two levels in the third set and we went to toe-to-toe.

"In the tie-breaker, I guess I just found the right shots, right serves and closed up in straights."
