NextImg:Norwegian Cruise Line announces 500 sailings including new destinations in Europe, the Caribbean and more

Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled its programme for spring and summer 2027, with more than 500 individual sailings across a fleet of 20 vessels. The deployment spans from April to October 2027, with ships departing from approximately 30 major ports worldwide.

The itineraries will reach more than 150 ports across 59 nations. Key overnight destinations include Istanbul, Reykjavik in Iceland and Bermuda's Royal Naval Dockyard.

President of Norwegian Cruise Line David J. Herrera said: "We're proud to be the cruise line of choice for travellers who want more out of their holiday - more freedom, more destinations and more unforgettable experiences."

New routes to look forward to include the Norwegian Aqua (Falmouth, Jamaica and George Town, Cayman Islands), Norwegian Prima (Dubrovnik and Split, Croatia; Kotor, Montenegro; Riga, Latvia), Norwegian Sun (Corfu, Greece) and Norwegian Jewel (Klaipeda, Lithuania; Riga, Latvia; Gdynia, Poland).

Great Stirrup Cay, the cruise line's highest-rated Bahamian port, will get a makeover starting in late 2025. The improvements include the construction of a multi-ship pier, ensuring guaranteed island access for passengers.

A new tram system will provide convenient transport across the private island. An oversized heated swimming pool will offer relaxation opportunities in the Caribbean sun.

The island will also feature expanded amenities mirroring popular shipboard experiences. These include an adults-only retreat complete with private cabanas for those looking to relax.

Families can also enjoy Horizon Park, a recreational area featuring lawn games and communal spaces.

Eight vessels will operate Caribbean and Bahamas routes, including the company's latest additions, Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Viva. Miami will serve as a key departure point, with Norwegian Viva offering select Caribbean sailings from April 18 to May 16, 2027, visiting both Harvest Caye and Great Stirrup Cay.

Norwegian Aqua will run week-long Caribbean journeys with Sunday departures from Miami and Port Canaveral in Orlando. The ship will make its first visits to Falmouth in Jamaica and George Town in the Cayman Islands.

Three ships will service Bermuda routes during a seven-month season. Norwegian Luna will debut in New York on April 6, 2027, becoming the newest contemporary segment vessel to operate from the port, offering five to seven-day Bermuda sailings.

European routes will also be served, mostly seven-day itineraries with weekend departures and arrivals. Ten embarkation ports will be available, including Barcelona, Rome's Civitavecchia, Athens' Piraeus, and Reykjavik.

The port-intensive schedules allocate over 90 per cent of time in destinations, averaging nearly 11 hours per stop. Overnight stays are scheduled in Istanbul, Copenhagen, and Hamburg, whilst late-night departures from Santorini, Dubrovnik, and Ibiza provide extended exploration opportunities.

Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva will return to European waters for nine to 11-day voyages. Norwegian Viva will navigate Western Mediterranean and Greek Isles routes from June to October, operating from Istanbul, Barcelona, Rome's Civitavecchia, and Venice's Ravenna.

Norwegian Prima will introduce maiden calls to Dubrovnik, Split, and Montenegro's Kotor, before returning to Northern Europe for Iceland and Norway sailings.

Alaska sailings will commence in late April from Seattle, Whittier in Alaska, and Vancouver in British Columbia. Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Bliss, and Norwegian Joy were specifically designed for Alaskan waters, featuring extensive outdoor and indoor viewing areas for wildlife and landscape observation.

These three ships will operate seven-day itineraries departing Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Seattle's Pier 66. Norwegian Joy will also have nine and 10-day sailings from mid-May to mid-June and late August through September.

Norwegian Spirit will continue Pacific operations through December 2027 following its Australia and New Zealand season. The vessel will conduct 11 distinct open-jaw itineraries from Sydney, Lautoka in Fiji, Papeete in French Polynesia, and Honolulu.

The new More At Sea programme offers unlimited premium beverages including Casamigos Tequila and Grey Goose Vodka, speciality dining, Wi-Fi minutes, and shore excursion credits.
