NextImg:Neighbour row explodes as homeowner 'ruins' every morning with 'exhausting' 6am habit - 'Rattles my nerves!'

A woman has endured two months of early morning disruption after her neighbour began playing the same country music track at 6am daily.

The persistent musical wake-up call has left her exhausted and frustrated.

The resident shared her predicament on Reddit, explaining how the song begins precisely at 6am each day at a volume that disturbs her sleep.

After eight weeks of this routine, she reports feeling drained and irritable by midday.

The situation has sparked discussion about what constitutes reasonable noise levels during early morning hours in residential buildings.

"My neighbour plays the same country song at 6 am every single day. It starts at 6 am sharp, and it's loud enough to rattle my nerves this early. For 2 months straight, they've played the same country song every morning, and now the lyrics are burned into my brain," the woman wrote in her post.

She described how the daily musical intrusion has affected her wellbeing.

"I don't even know if I hate the song or the fact that my mornings are hijacked, but I'm exhausted and edgy by noon because of it," she explained.

The repetitive nature of the disturbance has made the situation particularly challenging to endure.

She has made several efforts to address the problem with her neighbour.

These include attempting to speak with them directly by knocking on their door, leaving written messages, and escalating the matter to her building's management team.

Despite these various approaches, the daily 6am country music sessions have continued without interruption.

Her attempts at communication have yielded no results, leaving her without a resolution to the noise issue.

The lack of response from both the neighbour and building management has compounded her frustration with the ongoing situation.

Reddit users offered mixed reactions to her predicament.

"They're not really doing anything wrong ... it's likely they're timing their morning routine to the song. Your description of noise level isn't helpful, and you seem to just hate the lyrics/song over the noise," one person commented.

Others provided practical suggestions.

"It's probably their wake-up alarm. Maybe invest in some earplugs," another user advised.

A third commenter noted the legal limitations: "You really can't do anything about it. Is it over and over and over? Or just once? You've left letters, asked, and even reported, but [if] it's during the hours when noise is allowed, most likely nothing will be done. Maybe get a fan? White noise? Classical music?"

In the UK, councils can issue warnings for excessive noise between 11pm and 7am.

However, 6am falls just outside this protected period, potentially limiting official intervention options.
