The body of a migrant has been found near a beach in Calais.

The grim discovery was made in sand dunes at Les Hemmes de Marck, near the French port this morning.

Early reports suggest the body is a female migrant of Eritrean origin.Police and fire service paramedics are on site, and a cordon has been placed around the scene.
